After three huge singles at the end of 2009, the Virus imprint shows no signs of stopping in 2010. With another three singles and an album already planned, this is shaping up to be a big year for the label.

Prolix ‘The Scourge EP’ – Ganja-Tek Recordings | GTEK014

Prolix follows up his immense team up with BCUK with an EP which is equally as hard-hitting. Spread across four tracks the ‘Scourge’ EP is as filthy as it comes, smashing dancefloors from East London to the Eastern Bloc.

The title track, ‘Scourge’, takes the lead with clattering old skool drum edits and incessant layers of bass that don’t give you pause for breath.

‘Watch Your Step’
kicks off with a half-time intro, hip hop flavours lead you in, while grinding reeses prepare for an all-out assault. When the drop comes it’s game over as pounding beats and crushing subs finish the job!

Sabre presents GRAM Agency Podcast VIII. With Sabre’s mighty album ‘A Wandering Journal’ set to drop on Critical Music on Monday 29th March 2010 consisting of a 3 piece vinyl, CD and digital format. The man himself has found time in his busy schedule to lay down a 30 minute journey starting off with a deeper soundscape which then develops into something more tempo driven and tougher beats wise. The mix features tracks from the scenes hottest producer talent with usual suspects such as Zero T, Alix Perez and Data. Sabre draws some filthy tracks from Cern’s upcoming LP as well as representing the new breed playing beats from UK based writers FD, Judda, Stray and Hybris, all in all the podcast should satisfy a wide range of music fans as well as showcasing Sabre’s talents behind the decks.

Taxman gets in on the old skool revival, dropping a smashing amen-led number that LTJ Bukem in his heyday would have been proud of.

Ever since someone first sneakily recorded a clip of DJ Hype playing ‘Dreamland’ on his Kiss FM show, the internet has been ablaze with talk about this immense tune. Anticipation has been building and building and with the drum & bass public about to burst, it’s finally available to buy on 12′ vinyl wax.

SIGMA FULL OF LIFE IN 2010

2009 was a big year for Sigma, and 2010 has kicked off looking like there’s no signs of stopping. Their remix of the Adam F & Redman track out has just been released on Breakbeat Kaos. and has been sitting at number 1 in most charts for the past month or so.

Over on their Life imprint Original Sin has remixed the second release “Front To Back”, and it’s currently getting road tested (and has been murdering the floor!). They also have a bunch of other tracks ready to go and are lining up the next two Life 12″s as we speak. Check out their Top 10 below for more info on what’s in their box.

Following Potential Bad Boy’s first 12″ of 2010, the 37th release on DJ Hype & Pascal’s Ganja Recordings imprint comes courtesy of ex-G Dub member, Sub Zero.
