German drum and bass label, Breaks Per Minute Records has provided a platform for a variety of drum and bass styles since it started. The latest release by Serbian producer, Rahmanee approaches throws together elements of dubwise jungle and dancehall into the mix with crisp and intense production. The Stopper has been getting play in clubs for over a year and is now available exclusively on Beatport. Rahmanee and BPM Records are available for interviews etc.
BPM Records was founded on the 2nd of July 2006 in Erlangen and representing all colours of drum & bass, breaks and dubstep music. The first release on this label came out in the beginning of 2010 and was called “Idemo Odma”. The track was originally produced by the Serbian Hip Hop group Bad Copy. A member of this former group – Wikluh Sky – and Dj Rahmanee created a D&B version of the song, which was realeased on BPM later on. The b-side of the record was made by The Green Man (Basswerk Records). The second release Balkan Breakz Ep with its various remixes from Kiril Dzajkovski’s “Jungle Shadow” were released in August 2012 on BPM. The track “Jungle Shadow” also served as the soundtrack title of the macedonian movie “Shadows/Senki”. All 3 tracks of the Balkan Breakz EP were produced by Rahmanee, Filip Motovunski and Roots In Session.
