Scro – Antinomy Lament E.P – Emcee Recordings

Emcee Recordings continues 2013 where it left of in 2012 with another strong all round EP, this time it’s by a brand new artist debuting on Emcee Recordings. Scro – hailing from the USA, Syracuse, New York, signed exclusively to Emcee Recordings in 2012 the future is looking very bright for this young artist.

The EP demonstrates the skills of Scro to the highest level, we start of with “What Went Wrong” featuring the vocal talents of Patricia Edwards, this tune has a lovely flowing melodic vibe through out with a dark and deep bassline rolling throughout the tune, a true masterpiece from Scro could see this one never getting old.

Then we have “Back To The Heart” featuring Ncamargo an absolute monster of a tune with its punchy bassline and sinister vibe, it has a great bouncy feel to the track and could definitely move any dance-floor!

“Be With You” has a similar vibe to What Went Wrong with a nice deep dark bassline and some vocals over the top that fit with the vibe of the tune, the whole tune moves perfectly with some jazzy influences to give the tune an extra edge.

The final tune of the EP is “Drifting In The Astral” it is more on the minimal side but still shows off the excellent production skills of Scro and finishes the EP of perfectly.

What more can we say about the EP just go and grab it for yourselves. The new look Emcee Recordings is going from strength to strength and this EP just shows what a diverse and great label Emcee is shaping up to be, can’t wait for the next instalment.
