Serum – Horn Track/String Track – V Recordings
A producer that needs no introduction, Serum has continued to forge his own path on the Drum and Bass circuit. Flying the flag for classic Jungle and DnB, Serum’s unique style harks to the past whilst using contemporary production skills, and it’s an approach that has earned him legions of loyal fans in the process.
Serum’s unique underground style has also enabled him to work with the pioneering labels of Drum and Bass including Grid Recordings, V Records, Critical, Dread and many more. Now Serum aka Mark Gaunt returns to the mighty V to drop two tracks in his trademark sound.
Horn Track
Serum kicks off his return to V in style, with the iconic sounds of Horn Track. After a instantly recognizable steel drummed melody, Serum turns things up a notch, adding rolling drums, heavy bass and old school horns to the mix. An original sounding blend of the old and the new, Horn Track is already shaking things up in many a DJ set.
String Tune
Rounding of the release is String Tune. After another infectious introduction, featuring plucky strings, String Tune reverts into another dancefloor weapon. Combining a catchy riff with intricate percussion, high production levels and a jumping bassline, String Tune has all the marks of Serum release.
